What are two main types of respiratory protections?

The two main types of respiratory protections we use as safety for workers are: Air-purifying respirators (APRs) and supplied-air respirators (SARs)

Respiratory Hazards can include airborne contaminants in it, which are biological with dust, mists, fumes, and gases present in it. To protect the most hazards prone consists of all necessary steps to protect workers from exposure to a substance or system. To protect your respiratory protection devices, you need two equipment, A filtering device(respirator) or a breathing apparatus (BA), to provide quality air as an independent source in the workplace where particular exposure and how these control will be monitored for effectiveness.

Well designed and maintained methods are being followed, which includes:

Mechanical ventilation

Enclosure and isolation of the process of work equipment

Proper use on the basis used equipment.

The modification includes substitution of less hazardous materials for respiratory protection. Dusk masks types which are considered as reusable respiratory masks which ideal for workers who work in outdoor areas especially where there is more dust.

Depending on the wearer’s level of exposure and/or comfort level, one may find one piece more desirable to the other. Regardless of the type of facepiece, every reusable respirator requires the attachment of two of the following: gas & vapor cartridges, combination cartridges, filters, and/or pre-filters. Keep in mind; you must purchase a mask and cartridge by the same manufacturer. For instance, a 3M half-face/full-face will only function properly if used in tandem with 3M cartridges.
